A Rochester attorney was reprimanded and ordered to pay $7,500 in sanctions after Western District Judge Charles Siragusa (See Profile) found she had made misrepresentations to the court in an attempt to avoid dismissal of her client’s case.
Meanwhile, a magistrate judge in a separate case has recommended that the same attorney, Christina Agola, be suspended for six months in the Western District. The magistrate judge said Agola had made “repeated and blatant misrepresentations to this court in subjective bad faith.” Judge Richard Arcara (See Profile) has not yet ruled on that recommendation.
