For the third time in two months, a U.S. judge in Manhattan has revived a mortgage-backed securities suit by relying on a recent decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on standing.

Southern District Judge Paul Crotty (See Profile) on Jan. 23 enlarged a class action brought by investors who claim they were misled about the risks of mortgage-backed securities arranged by Credit Suisse Group.
