Reed Smith has appointed a new managing partner for its New York office, Edward Estrada, who said he plans to aggressively recruit laterals in corporate and private equity, among other practices.

Jordan Siev, the firm’s former managing partner in New York since 2011, is now co-head of Reed Smith’s U.S. commercial litigation group. Estrada was formerly in that role and is a former executive committee member.
