Daniel Silver has been named chief of the national security and cybercrime section in the Eastern District U.S. Attorney’s Office. He will also serve as the office’s national security coordinator and Antiterrorism Advisory Council coordinator. Silver, who joined the office in 2005, was appointed deputy chief of the national security section in February 2012.
James Ayers of Albany has been selected as the new chair of The Fellows of The New York Bar Foundation, which provides funding for law-related charitable and educational projects. Ayers is a partner at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna and chair of its estate planning and administration practice. Emily Franchina of Garden City, who was elected vice-chair, is a partner at Franchina & Giordano concentrating in elder law and trusts and estates law.
