The Appellate Division, First Department, last week prohibited a former Morrison & Foerster partner in San Francisco from practicing in New York. The attorney had pleaded guilty in 2011 to multiple felony counts relating to fraudulently billing for special education services for his autistic son.

Jonathan Dickstein, and his wife, Barclay Lynn, were accused of creating a fictitious in-home care and education provider for their autistic son. The couple used the company to overbill and obtain multiple reimbursements for the same services by submitting fraudulent claims to their school district, Morrison & Foerster and a health insurance company, according to Matter of Dickstein, M-2652.
