After years of steady growth, lobbying expenditures in New York State dipped slightly last year, a newly-released report shows.
In 2012, groups spent $205 million to lobby state and local governments, the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics said in a March 28 report. That is $15 million less than the 2011 total.
