• Lewis Baach, a Washington D.C.-based litigation firm, has launched a New York office with new partners Adam Kaufmann and Arthur Middlemiss. The office will practice as Lewis Baach Kaufmann Middlemiss. Before joining the firm, Kaufmann was executive assistant district attorney and chief of the investigation division in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Middlemiss was the director of the global anti-corruption program at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

• Stanley Alpert has joined Schlam Stone & Dolan as litigation of counsel focusing on commercial and environmental matters. He recently practiced at Constantine Cannon.
