Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has added nine lawyers in its New York office, pulling together lateral hires from various practices and three law firms. The hires include three partners: John Kiley from Kelley Drye & Warren; MaryJeanette Dee from Richards Kibbe & Orbe; and John Hempill from Morrison Foerster.

Kiley chaired Kelley Drye’s labor and employment practice. Joining him from Kelley Drye are special counsels Kevin Smith and Christopher Collins and four associates. Dee, formerly an executive committee member of Richards Kibbe, will join Sheppard Mullin as a member of the business trial practice, focusing on internal investigations and regulatory and white-collar criminal defense. Hempill, who joins Sheppard’s corporate practice, was a former cochair of MoFo’s emerging companies and venture capital group.
