Alston & Bird yesterday announced the addition of five partners in its capital markets practice, all from Dentons. Four of the new partners are in New York: Richard Simonds, Scott Samlin, A. James Cotins and Matt Lyons. Partner Stephen Ornstein is in Washington, D.C. Their transitions come shortly after the creation of Dentons, a combination of international law firm Salans, Fraser Milner Casgrain and SNR Denton.
The Alston partners will blend with various practices inside Alston, including its financial regulatory, global finance and debt products group and real estate finance and investment group, said corporate practice co-chair David Brown, noting that the five new partners represent clients such as large financial institutions, hedge funds and private equity groups.
