NORA DESIMONE res, v. NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ap — (INDEX NO. 1163/11) In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the defendant New York City Department of Transportation appeals, as limited by its brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Ash, J.), dated February 9, 2012, as granted the plaintiffs' motion pursuant to CPLR 306-b for leave to extend the time to serve the summons and amended complaint on the defendant Henrique Thompson and for leave to amend the amended complaint to add the City of New York as a defendant, and denied its cross motion to dismiss the complaint and amended complaint insofar as asserted against the defendant Henrique Thompson for lack of personal jurisdiction, and the defendant Henrique Thompson appeals from the same order.
