ALBANY – A prenuptial agreement that contained the improper acknowledgement of the husband’s signature is invalid, the state Court of Appeals ruled yesterday.

The 6-0 decision in Galetta v. Galetta, 94, concerned an issue that has divided Appellate Division departments for years: whether acknowledgement errors in prenuptial agreements are curable.
