After moving its New York office to 666 Fifth Ave. in mid-May, Akerman Senterfitt has already expanded in its new quarters by more than 12,000 square feet, bringing its total to 60,000 square feet.

The Miami-based transaction and trial law firm signed a 12-year lease last year, taking 48,000 square feet, the entire 19th and 20th floors, of the 41-story, 1.5-million-square-foot tower (NYLJ, July 18, 2012). The expansion covers contiguous space, the entire 21st floor. The lease also includes a 10-year renewal option and additional expansion rights on the 22nd floor.
