Westbury attorney Robert Danzi takes the helm of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association on Monday, succeeding Michael Jaffe, a partner with Pazer, Epstein & Jaffe of Manhattan and Huntington.

Danzi was sworn in as president of the bar group by Justice Peter Skelos of the Appellate Division, Second Department (See Profile), at a ceremony Wednesday at Gotham Hall in Manhattan. He said that under his leadership the 4,000-member bar group will continue to oppose efforts to restrict civil plaintiffs' access to courts and to cap litigants' awards if they are successful.
