Evan Krinick has been elected the managing partner of Long Island law firm Rivkin Radler. He will succeed William Savino, who had led the 130-attorney firm for the past 13 years. Krinick, 51, is a litigator focusing on appellate matters and insurance law. He was recently retained by the Long Island Power Authority to represent it in litigation arising from Hurricane Sandy. He joined the Uniondale-based firm in 1987 and is an executive committee member.

Krinick and Savino will serve as co-managing partners until Jan. 1, 2014, when Krinick will become sole managing partner. Krinick said the managing partner position can be renewed after two years.
