Mei Lin Kwan-Gett, a litigation partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, has been elected chair of the City Bar Fund, the pro bono and charity affiliate of the New York City Bar. Kwan-Gett is also co-head of Willkie's white-collar criminal defense practice. Before joining the firm, she was a deputy chief in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District.
Kwan-Gett, who was previously a vice president of the New York City Bar and a member of the City Bar Fund Board, succeeds Jay Holtmeier, a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
