The civil rights lawsuit of a woman acquitted of animal abuse at the Suffolk County horse rescue farm she runs has been reinstated by a federal appeals court.

Mona Kanciper's action against the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which had pressed charges against her for abuse of dogs at her horse farm in Manorville, was dismissed in March by Eastern District Judge Arthur Spatt.
