A court officer already accused of possessing child pornography now faces allegations of producing the illegal pornography. After Alberto Yard, a court officer working at the Brooklyn Civil Court for more than 19 years, was arraigned earlier this month on child pornography possession charges, law enforcement officials say in court papers they "discovered numerous videos and still frame images of apparent child pornography which appear to have been produced by Yard."

The findings were a result of a preliminary review of electronic equipment seized from Yard's residence in the execution of a search warrant, said the arrest complaint. Yard, 44, was arrested and arraigned on the new charges Thursday. He had been ordered to home detention following the initial charges earlier this month. But during a Friday bail hearing, Eastern District Magistrate Judge Ramon Reyes Jr. assigned counsel to Yard and denied bail "in light of the new charges," saying he was "not comfortable" the restrictions were sufficient to protect children in the community.
