Steven Eckhaus, an executive compensation expert, is leaving Katten Muchin Rosenman to set up a new group at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. He will be a partner and chair of Cadwalader's executive compensation and benefits practice in the corporate department. He was mostly recently chair of the executive employment practice at Katten.
Cadwalader said Eckhaus has advised executives from industries such as financial services, real estate, technology and sports and he has negotiated more than $5 billion in compensation agreements for executives. Eckhaus' addition brings a unified executive pay practice to Cadwalader. The new practice will be composed of a few other attorneys from Katten and some Cadwalader corporate attorneys. Eckhaus decline to elaborate on how many Katten associates and counsel will also make the move.
