The state Court of Appeals has agreed to hear the appeal of a political consultant convicted of stealing campaign funds from Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Without explanation, Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman granted leave July 16 to John Haggerty Jr. in his bid to topple a 2011 conviction on grand larceny and money laundering charges.
