Matthew Lifflander, a medical malpractice attorney, passed away Aug. 18 following a brief illness. He was 80.

Up until his last days, Lifflander was working on his third book and practicing law as the founding partner of litigation boutique Lifflander & Reich and as counsel to Dentons. He was also preparing to marry for the third time.
