More than 30 prominent attorneys have formed a group to promote passage this November of a proposed amendment to the New York Constitution raising the retirement age for some New York judges to 80.

Among those signing onto the new "Justice for All 2013" coalition were Judith Kaye of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick of Greenberg Traurig. Both were forced to step down from the Court of Appeals, Kaye in 2008 and Ciparick in 2012, because of the mandatory retirement age of 70.
