The New York Daily News has asked a federal judge in Buffalo to unseal court records that it believes relate to Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez, the Yankee third baseman implicated in a performance-enhancing drug scandal.
Last month, the newspaper’s vice president and assistant general counsel, Matthew Leish, sent a letter to Western District Judge Richard Arcara (See Profile) asking the court to unseal two documents in a closed case involving a Canadian sports physician, Anthony Galea, who reportedly has treated Rodriguez, golfer Tiger Woods and dozens of other elite athletes.
