In our July 23, 2013, New York Law Journal article, we discussed many, but not all, of the pending amendments to the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law that would be made if the Governor approves Assembly 8072. We also discussed some of the difficulties some of those proposals create and some proposals that were not enacted. The purpose of this article is to continue that discussion.

The Not-for-Profit Corporation Law (NPCL) amendments that would be made if the governor approves A. 8072, in general, become effective on July 1, 2014. Thus, there is time for consideration of further changes and corrections.
