Zuckerman Spaeder has hired Jason Lilien, chief of the New York Attorney General’s charities bureau, as a partner heading a new practice focused on nonprofit organizations.

Lilien, 42, has led the charities bureau for the past five years, where he was responsible for the oversight of more than 100,000 nonprofits. He was involved in the recent settlement of the estates of Huguette Clark and Brooke Astor, which he said will collectively provide hundreds of millions of dollars to charity.
