Personal injury attorney Maxwell Pfeifer, who was known as “Million Dollar Max” for the large recoveries he won on behalf of clients, has won confirmation of his Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan, despite the objection of a litigation financing firm that advanced him funds and is now an unsecured creditor.

After extending himself financially, Pfeifer, 86, said he and his wife, Myrna, filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in September 2012.
