A committee promoting a constitutional amendment to extend the state’s retirement age for some judges raised $144,630 in new donations from Sept. 31 to Oct. 21, according to filings with the state Board of Elections. The latest contributions bring to just over $510,000 the amount raised by Justice for All 2013 since its formation more than a month ago.
The bulk of new donations, $125,080, came from law firms. Duffy & Duffy, a Uniondale medical malpractice and personal injury firm, was the largest contributor with $50,000. The Manhattan personal injury specialist Sullivan Papain Block McGrath & Cannavo gave $25,000 and Kramer, Levin, Naftalis & Frankel of Manhattan donated $10,000.
