The Appellate Term, First Department, will hear oral arguments in the Bronx on Nov. 4. The three-judge panel will take up a 15-case calendar in the ceremonial courtroom, Room 711, at 851 Grand Concourse. The calendar will be geared toward appeals involving Bronx cases, said Peter Diskint, the Appellate Term’s clerk.
Diskint said the session will be the first in his 32 years working for the Appellate Term in which the judges have convened outside of their court facilities at 60 Centre St. in Manhattan. He said the court wants to expand exposure to its proceedings by convening in the Bronx.
