A judge has ordered the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office to produce for his in camera inspection documents related to its internal probe of about 50 murder convictions that have now come under question.
Acting Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Desmond Green refused to quash Shabaka Shakur’s subpoena for “all documents proving or having a tendency to prove, or which provide or contain evidence, whether or not admissible, that Detective Louis Scarcella engaged in misconduct” along with a list of all Scarcella-related cases that Brooklyn prosecutors are now reviewing.
