Jeffrey Alberts, a former Southern District Assistant U.S. Attorney, has joined Pryor Cashman as a partner and chair of the firm’s white-collar defense and investigations practice.

Alberts, 39, most recently served six years in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and had been a member of its asset forfeiture unit. Alberts’ practice at Pryor Cashman will focus on government investigations and prosecutions and asset forfeiture, among other areas, and he will support the firm’s art law practice. “His knowledge of asset forfeiture, especially as it pertains to priceless works of art, will be valuable to the firm’s clients, which include galleries, dealers, lenders, collectors, heirs and artists,” the firm said.
