New York University School of Law has started the Carr Center for Reproductive Justice, an initiative that will specialize in legal and policy work around reproductive freedom for women and families.

The center houses the school’s new reproductive justice clinic, supervised by clinical professor Sarah Burns. It also oversees three fellows, all 2013 graduates of NYU Law, who are spending the next year working on reproductive legal issues at three advocacy groups: A Better Balance, the American Civil Liberties Union and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. Finally, the center is planning a reproductive rights conference for April 2014.
