Baker Botts has named Robert Scheinfeld to head its 65-attorney New York office, succeeding corporate partner Lee Charles, who has led the office for the past 10 years.

Scheinfeld, a longtime Law Journal columnist, is also on Baker Botts’ executive committee and heads the firm’s intellectual property section in New York. His practice is focused on intellectual property law and litigation, representing companies in patent, copyright and trade secret misappropriation disputes.
