A top official in the Manhattan county clerk’s office is resigning next month amid allegations that he turned a blind eye to racist or sexist graffiti that was written on a behind-the-counter wall in the New York County Clerk’s office, according to sources. James Rossetti, chief management analyst, will leave his $144,243 position effective Jan. 15.
Sources said that Rossetti was implicated in a court system inspector general report after complaints were received that someone had written racist and/or sexist remarks on a wall while he was on vacation.
