A Brooklyn appellate panel overruled a lower court to throw out a man’s claims of false arrest, malicious prosecution and abuse of process against two coworkers who provided information to police that led to his arrest and trial.

Terri Johnson sued Lagena Solomon and James Williams and their employer after he was acquitted of armed robbery. Solomon had identified Johnson as the robber. Williams gave a physical description of the perpetrator but did not name Johnson. Solomon testified before the grand jury, and they both testified at Johnson’s trial.
