Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has tapped a UCLA and Hebrew University trained economist to help the office with complex investigations into antitrust, investor protection and other intricate economic matters.
The new chief economist, Guy Ben-Ishai, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Prior to joining the attorney general’s office he was a visiting researcher at the University of Toulouse and held positions at NERA, Compass Lexecon and the Israeli Antitrust Authority.
