The State Department of Motor Vehicles is not abusing its administrative powers by permanently revoking the licenses of repeat drunken drivers, a judge ruled.
Acting Albany Supreme Court Justice Henry Zwack (See Profile) dismissed Michael Carney’s challenge to the revocation of his license in January 2013 under DMV regulations enacted in 2012 denying licenses to drivers with five or more alcohol- or drug-related incidents on their lifetime driving records.
