Republican Congressman Michael Grimm will be indicted in the Eastern District after a two-year probe into campaign finance violations, his lawyer confirmed Friday.
William McGinley, a partner with Patton Boggs in Washington, D.C., said Grimm, a former U.S. Marine and FBI special agent who was elected to the House of Representatives to represent parts of Staten Island and Brooklyn in 2010, is preparing to fight the charges and “asserts his innocence of any wrongdoing.”
