A court officer is ineligible for Workers Compensation because the injuries he suffered after slipping on ice outside the Clinton County court building did not arise from his employment, a state court ruled Thursday.

The Appellate Division, Third Department, panel unanimously supported the Workers’ Compensation Board’s denial of benefits to Court Officer Eric Trotman related to his Jan. 10, 2012, fall in Plattsburgh as he headed to work at the Clinton County Government Center.
