A convicted sex offender whom the Attorney General’s Office initially suggested was wrongly convicted has been designated a high-risk, sexually violent offender by a judge in Queens.

In a decision Wednesday, Supreme Court Justice Ira Margulis said Ronald Bower’s convictions, coupled with his refusal to take responsibility for crimes he denies ever committing, warrant the classification.
