ALBANY – New York state may be on the hook for damages to a parolee who was sent back to jail after a parole officer accused him of using drugs and then withheld test results showing he was drug free.

Court of Claims Judge Francis Collins (See Profile) blasted parole officer Kerri Hughes for providing “false and misleading” testimony, and said her pursuit of Danny Green rose to the level of a malicious prosecution. A damages trial will be scheduled.
