Sidley Austin has hired a four-partner real estate team in New York from Bingham McCutchen, including the chair of Bingham’s real estate group.
The group includes Richard Fries, who had led Bingham’s real estate practice and primarily handles real estate finance and distressed commercial loan work outs. Also in the group: Scott Stern, who advises clients in commercial real estate loans and asset-based lending; Neil Cohen, who advises clients in real estate, asset-based and franchise lending transactions; and Todd Marcus, who concentrates on real estate finance litigation.
