A federal magistrate judge in Buffalo declined to step aside from a case in which one of the attorneys joined the judge on a volunteer board while the trial was underway.
Although neither party objected to Western District Magistrate Judge Hugh Scott’s (See Profile) continued involvement in a civil rights case, the judge addressed the potential conflict for which he could find no on-point cases.
