Seven candidates, including the incumbent Judge Victoria Graffeo, are on a list of names released Wednesday from which Gov. Andrew Cuomo must select one nominee for the next opening on the state Court of Appeals. A seat will become vacant with the Nov. 29 expiration of Graffeo’s 14-year term.

Graffeo, a 62-year-old Republican, was nominated by former Republican governor George Pataki. She has indicated repeatedly that she would seek reappointment to the court.
