A federal magistrate judge has signed off on the $41 million settlement between New York City and five men who sued over their wrongful convictions in the 1989 attack on jogger Patricia Meili in Central Park.

Southern District Magistrate Judge Ronald Ellis (See Profile) Friday accepted the settlement reached in June by lawyers for the city and plaintiffs Antron McCray, Raymond Santana, Jr., Kharey Wise, Kevin Richardson and Yousef Salaam and their families agreed to end 11 years of stalemated litigation.(NYLJ, June 23, 2014)
