A Southern District judge has dismissed a former Dewey & LeBoeuf partner’s suit against Barclays Bank and ex-firm leaders, citing lack of jurisdiction.
L. Londell McMillan, a prominent entertainment lawyer, sued Barclays and former Dewey leaders Steven Davis, Stephen DiCarmine, Joel Sanders and Francis Canellas in 2013. McMillan disputed Barclays’ allegation that he agreed to a $540,000 bank loan for a capital contribution to Dewey. McMillan alleged he never applied for such a loan and believed a loan letter agreement was fabricated.
