Former attorney Marc Dreier, imprisoned since 2009 for a series of frauds that brought his law firm crashing down, will be brought from prison to testify at an upcoming trial in bankruptcy court.

Southern District Judge Alvin Hellerstein (See Profile) signed an order granting a petition for a writ of habeas corpus ad testificandum so that Dreier can testify on Oct. 27 in the adversary proceeding of Gowan v. Westford, Adv. Proc. No. 10-05447.
