The estate of a student who jumped to his death into a deep gorge on the Cornell University campus has settled its suit against the university and the city of Ithaca.

An order filed last week by Northern District Judge David Hurd (See Profile) indicated the father of the late student Bradley Ginsburg has accepted settlement offers from Cornell and Ithaca. Ginsburg v. City of Ithaca, 5:11-cv-1374, had been scheduled for trial on Sept. 29.
