An appellate panel has affirmed the dismissal of a real estate investor’s malpractice suit against Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

David Lichtenstein, chairman and CEO of the real estate company the Lightstone Group, sued Willkie and three partners in 2012, alleging $104 million in damages. Lichtenstein v. Willkie Farr & Gallagher, 652092/2012, claimed the firm inappropriately advised Lichtenstein to put his hotel company, Extended Stay Inc. (ESI), into bankruptcy.
