A pair of law school professors have been appointed to New York City’s Civilian Complaint Review Board, which investigates allegations of police misconduct.

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Tuesday the appointments of Deborah Archer, a professor and associate dean for academic affairs at New York Law School, and I. Bennett Capers, a professor at Brooklyn Law School. They represent the mayor’s second and third designees to the 13-member board.
