Proskauer Rose and a former longtime client will continue to battle in a pair of lawsuits in Manhattan Supreme Court, after a judge refused to dismiss a malpractice claim against the firm.

Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) sued the firm and four partners for malpractice, claiming Proskauer’s advice led the oil tanker company to incur hundreds of millions of dollars in tax liability. Overseas Shipholding v. Proskauer, 650765/2014.
