When Bettina Plevan started practicing law in 1970, there were few role models who were women. So she decided to become one herself.
That year, she was named the first female attorney for Bogle, Gates, Dobrin, Wakefield & Long of Seattle. She joined what was then Proskauer, Rose, Goetz & Mendelsohn in 1974 and became the first female partner in the firm’s litigation department in 1980.
